Heat waves do not give warning
Pelham summers swing fast. One week is mild, the next hits the low 90s. Air conditioners almost always fail on the hottest day, because that is when they work hardest.
A spring tune-up finds the weak parts before that day comes. We catch a tired capacitor or low refrigerant while it is cheap to fix, not at 4 PM on a Saturday in July.
What we check
Our spring visit is thorough. It takes about an hour for a single system.
- Refrigerant pressure and any signs of a leak
- Capacitor and contactor wear
- Coil cleaning so the unit breathes
- Thermostat calibration and settings
- Condensate drain, the part that floods basements when it clogs
The bill goes down too
A clean, well-charged system uses less power to hold the same temperature. Most homes in Pelham see a real drop on the July and August electric bills after a tune-up.
Book your spring check before May and skip the rush. Call us at the number in the header and we will find a morning that works.
Need a hand with this?
We handle it for Pelham homeowners every week. Book a visit and we will take it from here.
